One system, dozens of products, a single language.
Wilson Sons operates port terminals, tugboats and logistics services across Brazil — and each of these fronts had its own digital products, built by different teams, at different times, with no shared standard. The result was predictable: similar-but-never-identical screens, components rebuilt from scratch on every project, and a brand that didn’t feel consistent from one platform to the next.
The Design System was built to fix this at the root. Instead of standardizing finished screens, we went down to the most basic layer — color, type, spacing, grid — and built bottom-up: from tokens to atoms, from atoms to components, from components to full pages.
Today, every Wilson Sons team starts from the same visual foundation, with Inter typography, a 12-column desktop grid and 6-column mobile grid, and a color scale built to work in both light and dark themes — without deciding these things again on every project.
