Coordinating truck arrivals at a port terminal is a logistical challenge. In Salvador's case, this is made worse by the narrow streets leading to the terminal. Without control over scheduling and without real-time communication, enormous queues would form along the access streets, compromising the entire operation and causing major disruption to the city.
Meu Tecon was created to solve exactly this problem. All drivers are informed of freight offers and their scheduling times. The app tracks the movement of scheduled trucks using geolocation and can guide drivers by sending alerts.
This keeps an orderly flow of arrivals and departures at the terminal, avoiding traffic jams and operational stoppages.
